Donald Trump threatened to blow up Iranian desalination plants if the regime does not agree to a ceasefire deal with America and reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
The US president suggested negotiators were close to an agreement, but threatened to “completely obliterate” the Islamic Republic’s infrastructure if a settlement is not reached.
Desalination plants which remove salt from water to make it drinkable are crucial to supplies in countries across the Gulf.
“The United States of America is in serious discussions with A NEW, AND MORE REASONABLE, REGIME to end our Military Operations in Iran,” Mr Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Ah, threatening more war crimes before he’s even made good on the last set of threats (nuclear power plants).
Not that I think he should, it’s just that his threats along these lines really aren’t very credible at this point.
