The difference between Portugal and Spain being that large makes no sense.

Since salaries in Spain are NOT 70% higher than in Portugal (62 x 170/100 = ~ 101), but maybe just 15% higher, yet the purchasing power apparently is 70% higher, would you suggest prices of everything in Spain are way lower?
Like you are saying one can sell a 2-bedroom cottage in Faro and buy a 4-room apartment in Barcelona?
Because that was definitely not my impression when visiting those two countries on several occasions.

I’ll post here what I have posted in another sub about Portugal. I grew up in Lisbon and live in Copenhagen. My cost of living in Denmark is overall lower than back home. Rent prices can be lower than Lisbon whilst mean wages are the quadruple.

Statista is not a source, it is a source aggregator.

Looks like things are not going well in Portugal.

Finally, Spain shows that it belongs to Western Europe statistically
Switzerland 164 is crazy, what a huge gap to every other country
I was surprised that Bosnia’s figure was higher than Serbia’s.
„Source: Statista“… LOL
