    Zweitgrößter Körper im Asteroidengürtel


    Am 29. März 1807 entdeckte der deutsche Astronom Heinrich Olbers den Asteroiden Vesta. Vesta ist der zweitgrößte Körper im Asteroidengürtel und wird in seiner Größe nur vom Zwergplaneten Ceres übertroffen.

      It almost looks like there are lines around the middle. Could that happen from the last bits of accumulation arranging into rings before falling to the surface?
