US definitely needs to update the CRAM for drone engagements. Newer systems such as SkyNex, and other competitors are FAR more efficient at intercepting drones, in terms of munitions expended.

While the C-RAM is really cool because brrrrt, I don’t understand why the US doesn’t have a better answer for this.
It’s been over four years since the Russia Ukraine war kicked off and high volume Shaheds were there since almost the beginning. Dealing with them has been really difficult, and we’ve seen everything from patriot missiles to modern flak to dudes in pickup trucks with rifles trying to deal with them.
So now we attack the country who literally invented the Shahed, and we do it without a reliable solution to these drones?
Stuff like Skynex seems like the obvious solution. I don’t understand why the USA doesn’t have a system like this already.
