Scroll down the page for the survey link. Or find it here: [Qualtrics Survey | Qualtrics Experience Management](https://ditresearch.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0TZ33cB9Ec9swT4)
It’s a bit long and detailed, but worth completing imo.
Especially since Reform is vowing to scrap the entire Employment Rights Act if they win power, this is a chance for regular people to help shape legislation to reflect their longterm interests.
Long story short, the survey is asking:
*The Employment Rights Act 2025 will introduce new protections to prevent fire and rehire practices.*
*The act will, once commenced, make it an automatic unfair dismissal where an employee is dismissed or replaced in order to make changes to core terms in their employment contract (protected as ‘restricted variations’).*
*The government is consulting on 2 types of restricted variations in relation to fire and rehire:*
* *employment expenses and benefits*
* *shift patterns*
*The government is asking for feedback on* ***which expenses, benefits, and shift changes*** *should be covered by these protections.*
They offer a more employer-friendly option and a more worker-friendly option. So if you’re a worker, choose wisely!
In an ideal world should be ‘painless’ for any business to (with notice) jettison people for being fkn useless and/or taking the proverbial piss.
Fire and rehire would definitely be beneficial for dealing with disruption on the London Underground or the Birmingham bin strikes. Lower costs and less disruption, what’s not to like?
Filled in. Yet another horrific solution to a shit problem.
