      It seems to have a very big river. Someone should measure that, it could be the longest river in the world!

      this always blows my mind every time i see it 😭 like you look at the map and it makes sense, but it still feels unreal that so many people are concentrated in such a small area… geography really changes how you see everything once you notice stuff like this lol

      They looked inward. Worshipped the river. Elsewhere was nothing. That’s why they never expanded abroad. Didn’t believe there was anything there.

      This is one of the cradles of civilisation, amongst the most fertile planes on earth, civilised for ten thousand years. Is it surprising that the nile delta is highly populated compared the the desert around it? I don’t understand why this is a post.
