Since Russia’s full-scale invasion, millions of Ukrainians have been using mobile services in the EU without paying extra roaming charges. Now this is guaranteed by law.
It will also work both ways: EU citizens visiting Ukraine will have the same benefit of not paying extra to use their mobile operators.
The EU’s single roaming area (Roam Like At Home) has freed EU members from paying extra roaming charges since 2017. Recently, the European Commission decided to include this roaming agreement in the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU.
By implementing RLAH, Ukraine is taking an essential step towards deeper integration with the EU.

there’s no Cyprus on this map, however this applies to them as well

The UK used to have this, people asked the UK government to put this into British law so when we left the EU the phone providers couldn’t charge more.
The government said it was unnecessary as phone providers wouldn’t do it as they’d lose customers. Phone providers also said they’d neeeeever do it so why legislate for it?
Lo and fucking behold, as soon as we left they all pretty quickly reintroduced roaming charges to access their own international networks in Europe just to make a little extra cash.

Turkey IS applicable, EU even offered to include Turkey just a month ago. If it weren’t for those blood sucker internet operators Turkey would have been included too.

I hate Switzerland and the UK.
I think Moldova has also joined or will be doing it soon.

I feel like this is false. I have unlimited internet at home but outside of Finland it is only 45Gb per month. And everything above that is 1,6€/Gb. So it is not like at home.
Or is this about phone calls?

Letting Ukraine into this plan is obviously a distraction.
Doesn’t matter though we all know the truth and you cannot change history.
They can do what they want with Ukraine but the truth will always remain that Al Bundy scored four touchdowns in a single game for the Polk High School Panthers in the 1966 City Championship against Andrew Johnson High School. This iconic feat, included the game-winning touchdown against „Spare Tire“ Dixon.

I see Moldova very noticeably not included here. When I was there in January, with a UK mobile, it wouldn’t work at all, not even with roaming charges. Basically was completely bricked, had to go onto McDonald’s in Chisinau just to use the WiFi.
