Paywalled article. Annoyingly a lot of those from Nikkei posted here. And why use a word like „receptacles“ instead of „bins“ or „trash cans“. Is Nikkei trying to sound „intelligent“.
All this would be solved with more bins and it would be definitely cheaper than „smart bins“. Yes i know emptying them costs, but so does emptying the smart bins.
