Ich bin also dreimal nach Griechenland gereist, war dreimal in Nafplio und jedes Mal liebe ich es! Ich fahre beruflich nach Griechenland (ich unterrichte klassische Geschichte und Philosophie in Australien, wir nehmen Oberstufenschüler auf eine Tour mit), meine Frau war also noch nie dort, aber ich scherze oft mit ihr darüber, dass ich mich dort zur Ruhe setzen werde.
Aber ich mache nur einen halben Scherz! Offensichtlich sehe ich es nur aus der Perspektive eines Touristen, also frage ich mich, wie es wirklich ist, dort zu leben?

Boring, just like every other city under 50k population in Greece.
Honestly, living in a small, rural town in Greece is lovely provided that you have a stable job (even better if it’s remote). Since no one has replied to you about Nafplio specifically yet, I’ll give you my experience as someone who grew up in a small town. It’s safe, it’s quiet and it’s great for children to grow up in as they have more freedom to explore and stay out till it’s dark, riding bicycles everywhere. Nafplio has the advantage of being a seaside town, but that also means that there’ll be plenty of tourists during the summer season. It’s also not too far away from a big city (Athens and Patra are both about 2 hours away).
