Lol how can a Canadian pm stop a war ? We have zero world power.

This guy needs to learn to stay in his lane. The PM cant do jack shit about Iran and it comes cross as virtue signaling.

  3. Dumb til Iran gets a nuke and holds the world hostage. Typical NDP thinking of let’s kick it down the road for the next generation to deal with.

This is a dumb comment. Should the PM also take action to stop asteroids coming too close to earth ?

That call to action would makes just as much sense.

  5. „Mr. Trump, Donald, you should know that the Premier of Manitoba thinks your war is dumb.“

Yes Premier it is a dumb war but as much as I like and admire you, I think this is a dumb statement. What action exactly would you like the PM to take?
The world is dealing with a 6 year old mentality in charge of the White House, and a so called democracy unable and or unwilling to stop the carnage this sick old man is creating throughout the world.
The PM has solidified alliances worldwide in order to protect us financially and militarily. Not sure he has the power to stop the war

Yes, let’s pressure Trump some more before the CUSMA talks. Good plan. /s

  8. Some people don’t seem to understand when to stfu and wait it out. When Carney builds his new trading coalition then we’ll have some leverage in the meantime we should mind our own fucking business.

I can write Carneys response for him – 🤡Israel has the right to defend itself 🤡

We all know it’s a dumb war, but trump thinks it’s great so he’ll keep doing it until Stephan “grima wormtongue” miller tells him otherwise.

For everyone whining that he should stay in his lane and butt out of global affairs:

The Iran war is going to hyper charge inflation in his province and negatively impact the lives of Manitobans, why shouldn’t he have a right to speak out?

I would rather Canada continue to stay out of it. If there is humanitarian work or peace keeping work to be done through the UN. Then great otherwise stay away and don’t poke the bear

  13. I get that people are saying Canada has no power to stop this war. And I agree.

But someone from the American-centric alliance needs to say something. And hopefully that will encourage other nations to speak up too. Are we really going to allow the world to spiral into global conflict because we’re afraid of Trump?

Maybe Canada saying something will do nothing. But it has to be better than doing nothing.

  14. On one hand, obviously the PM alone can do jackshit to stop the war. But on the other hand we have spoken about the need for middle powers to work together. There is a risk, not at all insignificant, that Trump will crash the global economy with this war. I think if the middle powers are going to come together to do anything… they need to come together to stop this. Find a way to put pressure on Trump to negotiate in good faith to end this stupidity. Right now Trump is more worried about internal politics in the US; mostly cause he knows the rest of the world won’t do shit. This isn’t necessarily criticism of Carney, but when can’t talk about building a new global order while still shurginging our shoulders and letting the US lead us around.

Moreover if we were smart, we would use the close of the straight to promote Canada as an alternative to oil supply… that would actually give us a voice in the room with weight in the future

  16. It’s shit like this that reminds me how sheltered and unserious we can be as a country.

We have virtually zero leverage. We can’t get a trade deal, why would we be able to stop a full blown war?

Honestly an embarrassing statement for a Premier to make.
