EZPass sure is pricey these days.
Trump tax.
The 8 ships for Trump were the free trial.
That’s about 2-3 cents per gallon.
Hormuz Tanker Class VLCC (Most Common) 84,000,000 gallons
Hormuz Tanker Class ULCC (Largest) 126,000,000+ gallons

Trump’s love for tariffs is going viral!
Trump sponsored Hormuz Valet Fee
I call bullshit on this:
[https://www.vesselfinder.com/?imo=9165803](https://www.vesselfinder.com/?imo=9165803) (zoom out a bit and look: no ships transiting)
There’s basically no ships transiting the strait.
This actually seems like a quite reasonable charge considering the situation.
Whats the credibility of this news outlet? Never heard of them
USA is paying $1B+!per day to attack Iran plus the destruction they are doing to us and other countries. At that rate we could pay for 500 ships per day to go through? Maybe sign up for there frequent flyer program too?
What is Farsi for “ Art of the Deal“?
Seem like they’ve been taking a play from the Shitlord playbook…
You must pay the Ayatollbooth
Be careful, Iran. Trump will demand a cut.
That’s the one unforgivable sin – him not getting a share.
To think it was 0 dollars a couple of weeks ago. Another win for MAGA!
This is outdated. With recent developments, all passage is now completely blocked. Latest news suggests that following the regional commander decapitated by Israel, the blockade remains but as a blanket rule (probably due to limited organizational capacity to enforce a toll).
Trump can afford that, he’s rich ain’t he?
So we went from a $0 fee a couple weeks ago to $2 million? Thanks Trump for making things more expensive again for no reason…
The U.S. could just pay that instead of the 2 billion dollars a day for the war. Just saying.
Can Trump put a tariff on this?
The shipping lanes are in Omans territorial waters as [the map shows](https://map.openseamap.org/?zoom=9.7&lon=56.52382&lat=26.60074&layers=TFTFFTTFFTFFFFFFTFFFFF&mlat=26.61862&mlon=56.53730). Iran is claiming control over another countries territory. For some reason, there is little outrage when Iran does this in Lebanon or in this case in Oman.
I’m assuming the $2m is paid in the Yuan and not USD either. This is getting very bad for American’s stronghold on the petrodollar
General Barry McCaffrey laid out a rather grim assessment of where Trump and the Trump Administration stand with respect to achieving their apparent war aims.
The U.S and Israel are no closer to their evident objective of truly eradicating Iran’s uranium enrichment program. To do this with military force, we would have to invade Iran with large numbers of ground troops, inspect the known underground bunkers and find the enriched uranium and centrifuges that Iranians secretly removed from Isfahan and other underground bunkers. Scientists and nuclear technicians would have to conduct inspections. These American personnel would be vulnerable to attack by the Iranian military, IRGC and IRGC-QF.
The U.S. military would face a similarly dangerous and potentially bloody task in ridding Iran of its ballistic missile capabilities.
The U.S. Navy, U.S Navy warships, any marines and Army troops securing the shore lines would face grave dangers in securing the Strait of Hormuz.
It is difficult to foresee any military endgame that would have any chance of success. I say this, even though I believe that our armed forces have fulfilled their designated misdions largely successfully. I would think that the only potentially successful endgame would entail negotiations. Unfortunately, the Iranian regime that now is in place is apparently even more resistant to negotiations than the regime in charge in Tehran at the beginning of the present war or military conflict.
I wonder if the Ayatollah will put his signature on every ticket.
Is it really true? Iran’s embassy in India:
>In response to certain claims regarding the alleged receipt of a sum of 2 million dollars by the Islamic Republic of Iran from vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz, it is emphasized that such claims are unfounded. The statements made in this regard merely reflect the personal views of individuals and do not, in any way, represent the official position of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

That is so cheap, will be pretty hard for the US to attack there when the strait is busy with ships.
You pay the ayatollahtoll to get into the boys soul
Sounds like something Trump would do
If you use a credit card is there a 3% surcharge?
To be honest, that’s honestly not that much? 2,000,000 barrels per ship, currently 100ish a barrel. That’s 200,000,000 million dollars. So we add 1% to that basically. 2% if we get down to 50 a barrel?
You gotta pay the ayatoll if you want this boys coal
