Not sure why people were downvoting this.
Without Carney’s actions, we would have been dead last among NATO members in terms of military spending.

We have been lulled into a false sense of security by having a military behemoth next door, but now it’s time for us to fly with our own wings.

What’s up with including $753 million for a fleet of Bombardier’s Global 6500 jets in the total? At current prices that’s probably about 10 of them. Those are civilian aircraft generally purchased by large corporations or the super rich for private air travel and depending on configuration they only carry up to 17 people. Not very “green” and it sure sounds like our government has decided it’s going to be travelling internationally in style if it’s now buying these things ten at a time. I can see the PM having a couple at his disposal. Who is using all the rest?

Meanwhile, we somehow still can’t afford to get a proper official residence for the PM done because of optics? Just classify it as military spending, apparently, and be done with it.
