I think the only reason the govt changed the enlistment age is because there’s starting to be new positions where you don’t necessarily have to be as young and fit, like operating drones and working in their new AI fields. And with so many people having weed charges despite it being legal in most of the country it only makes sense to waive that

I’m from the uk we have about 5 ships, 14 planes and 16 tanks so I doubt I’ll be drafted not nearly enough equipment for the actual military never mind everyone else

It would be a waste of time kidnapping me to be a soldier. I have a broken shoulder that I never got fixed. First time firing a gun would handicap me, if i had any intention of firing, but i wouldn’t. As soon as they send me out into the world id drop whatever they gave me and try live in the wilderness. I’d probably starve to death but it would be on my terms atleast.

Reminder that the draft age and enlistment age are two different things, and the draft age is still 18-25. In addition, a draft can only be authorized by both Congress and the President.
