A step in the right direction.
Hopefully this means they can tackle all the fraud in the refugee system all at once.
Typical liberals, create the problem, and then swoop in with the “fix”
You know what’s fascinating about this info and the info that just arrived in my email?
Apparently, 77 employers have jobs that they want me to apply for. Prior to this? I would get 1 or 2 offers a week for the last year.
Indeed a step in the right direction. Will be interesting how many files they are able to reject and punt to the “no” bin so our government can properly process legitimate applications to those that are deserving.
How is this going to affect 475k new PRs and 230k new TFW permits that Carney’s government is issuing in 2026?
>Asylum claims from people who enter Canada between ports of entry along the Canada–US land border and who make a claim after 14 days won’t be referred to the IRB.
A much needed step in the right direction. I remember reading an article a few months ago where a family of asylum seekers were being hidden in a hotel by a person smuggler (or as they called themselves, a refugee activist or something like that) for the first 14 days so that they avoided deportation back to the US.
Good to know that such people won’t be put into the long, drawn out and expensive process of going through the IRB, and will hopefully be sent right back to America or their country of origin (unless deemed legitimate)
Canada’s birth rate is 1.3 kids per woman. For a society to sustain its size, the birthrate should be at least 2.
Unless a government can miraculously increase the birth rate, immigration will still be a thing.
