      While tragic, its incredibly common. I seem to be missing the context on why this is a press conference and news story? Was there something bigger at play?

      She’s a pro-AirBNB pro-landlord mayor who won on NIMBY votes and expanding parking at the expense of community spaces. Those tears are faker than Justin Trudeau’s. This is exactly where her policies lead us.

      Edit: as a thought experiment, I encourage you to investigate renting out a room in your apartment and all the reasons not to do that under the Quebec regs even when you have the room and could use the money.

      For context, both of these were elderly people who passed away in their sleep in shelters. They’re not freezing to death on the streets, though that’s obviously also a potential risk.

      I assume the announcement was made in French and English, would hate to have to have her summoned to Ottawa to answer why only done in one language.
