I’m not sure what the current process looks like but I’m suspicious that the request for more input is coming from Alberta, Ontario and Quebec. Especially considering their use of the NWC and the human rights and charter violations they keep aiming for.

Ontario is steadily stacking its judicial appointment committees with PC partisan hacks.

Its jails are also so underfunded and rotten that criminals sometimes get released early because conditions are so bad.

The Ford government has also passed legislation found to violate the Charter multiple times.

And Ontario wants more control over federal judges? How about no.

  3. Good. Provinces already have pretty much all the power in this country, need to start weakening them after decades of letting them complain about everything but do nothing.
