  1. There is a certain irony there. According to the article they shifted to domestic production of disposable medical equipment (surgical gloves, syringes, masks, etc) after Covid in order to prevent supply disruptions. But this really just resulting in them importing naptha from the middle east for that production rather than importing the finished products themselves from China like they used to.

    So we’re still just as vulnerable to supply disruptions, just for different things.
