Mehrere Quellen berichten, dass ukrainische Truppen die südwestlich von Cherson gelegene Insel Weliki Wilchowy befreit haben. Berichten zufolge zogen sich die Russen aufgrund der ständigen Bombardierung, des Mangels an Nachschub und Truppenentsatz/-verstärkung zurück.
Liberated or Grayzoned it? I feel like the Ukrainians could run into similar issues if they occupied the island. It just seems like the kinda place in this day and age of warfare that is just a massive killzone for any force that occupies it.

I really hope Ukrainian command learned from the disaster that was Krynky, and don’t continue the cross-river meatgrinder
