This is conflating descendants with ethnic Poles living in regions which used to be part of Poland. For instance, the numbers in Lithuania, Belarus, and Ukraine are not „descendants“, they’re just Poles.

My dad came from poland in 1956. He was in a POW camp during the war. Almost got killed. He’s 97 now. I would like to go see poland.
