    1. The senators called for a full review of investments from Middle Eastern sovereign wealth funds and Tencent, which they say could influence editorial decisions at news outlets owned by the combined company.

    2. > Paramount Skydance has maintained that the FCC’s role in the deal is “minimal,” describing the foreign investment component as warranting only a cursory review. The senators urged the agency to reject that premise and conduct a full probe under the Communications Act, which bars foreign entities from owning more than 25 percent of the equity in a U.S. entity that has an FCC-issued license.

This is what happens when you let one horrible person appoint more horrible people to the head of our government agencies.

The FCC will obviously not do anything and just go with PSKY’s claim that it only warrants „a cursory review“, if any review at all.

Oh, you thought one person getting elected to one office would have minimal effect on your day-to-day life? You thought „politics“ wouldn’t affect you?

Well, now hostile foreign governments have a direct line to control even more of our media, thanks for your apathy.

    3. No fucking foreign governments should be owning our media, owning our housing, or influencing our elections with SuperPACs.

      Ban these fuckers.
