Ein amerikanischer Soldat wurde am Sonntag angeklagt, weil er angeblich einen Südkoreaner in einem Nachtclub im Seouler Stadtteil Hongdae angegriffen hatte, teilte die Polizei mit.
Nach Angaben der Polizeistation Mapo wurde der etwa 20-jährige Angehörige der US-Streitkräfte Korea (USFK) am Tatort festgenommen, nachdem er den Mann am Samstag gegen 3 Uhr morgens angeblich angegriffen hatte.
Berichten zufolge begann die Auseinandersetzung, nachdem das Opfer mit der Truppe des Soldaten zusammengestoßen war und sich einen Nasenbruch zugezogen hatte.
Der Soldat wurde gemäß dem Status of Forces Agreement, das den rechtlichen Status der 28.500 in Südkorea stationierten Soldaten regelt, zur USFK versetzt.
Die Polizei sagte, sie werde über die nächsten Schritte entscheiden, nachdem die Einzelheiten des Vorfalls geklärt seien.

Every single fucking time. It never stops. If USFK soldiers can’t go out without assaulting locals, then they should be locked on base 24/7, no exceptions. This isn’t complicated. If they can’t behave like normal human beings, they don’t get the privilege of walking around like they own the place

US military should be withdrawn from South Korea. These bastards aren’t here to protect you but to cause trouble. The only imminent threat is coming from America. „What about North Korea and China?“ These countries aren’t war mongering and US propagandists/CIA/feds use them to have a reason for the military buildup in South Korea.
