idk where this is, but germanly certainly is not that oversaturated and inhabited by lobsters
Only some old City centers in the south Look Like this. Often well visited by tourists.
That’s Rothenburg o.d.Tauber in the State of Bavaria.
See: [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rothenburg_ob_der_Tauber](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rothenburg_ob_der_Tauber)
It is together with Heidelberg and Castle Neuschwanstein the top tourist destination.
I’ve never been there, even though it’s only 120 miles from where I live 🙂
Edit typo
Rothenburg ob der Tauber
Markusturm in Rothenburg ob der Tauber. It’s a very common tourist stop in Germany.
It’s Rothenburg ob der Tauber. A popular town with tourists. Germany doesn’t look like this everywhere, but there are quite a lot, especially smaller towns, that have similarly well preserved medieval centers.

That is Rotenburg ob der Tauber….it was just a few train stops away from my usual route to University and back home. Yet I never went there.
It’s the Mekka for Monkey Island fans
You copied the pic from TripAdvisor and now ask us where it is?

It’s the [Röderbogen in Rothenburg](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Markusturm+u.+R%C3%B6derbogen/@49.377174,10.1812172,3a,75y,12.09h,96.63t/data=!3m8!1e1!3m6!1sCIABIhAFUAJBjANA69kqgg6douDh!2e10!3e11!6shttps:%2F%2Flh3.googleusercontent.com%2Fgpms-cs-s%2FAFfmt2Z072snfvk73t3DP2dXYZWKSrlBEs07btNKaFsrtROh9KK7NJVYu2engT6p8Id2HTiU0YPs2gbqvvneF9XO7rR4YDOgNX4_VuR2g8EQh9kz47S6Z7o0nnq0uNTnhnRq0UK6rN4ccPuqbe0z%3Dw900-h600-k-no-pi-6.629958710659167-ya12.086353834717775-ro0-fo100!7i11904!8i5952!4m15!1m8!3m7!1s0x47988efdf06dff37:0x41eda32beb5f5c0!2s91541+Rothenburg+ob+der+Tauber!3b1!8m2!3d49.3801834!4d10.1867388!16zL20vMDU1bXZz!3m5!1s0x47988fa5b7a1228f:0xa06f4c68c09dbdc6!8m2!3d49.377174!4d10.1812172!16s%2Fg%2F11bwc7tg08?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI2MDMxOC4xIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D) ob der Tauber, of course it is not that saturated in reality: [https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d0/Rothenburg-002.jpg](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d0/Rothenburg-002.jpg)
AI……looks so fake.
To be honest, in the south of Germany, just about every single old city’s historic district looks exactly like that.
The thing that piqued your interest might have been the heavily edited image itself, i.e. way too oversaturated.
No idea but those Germans need to learn about sunscreen.
It is Rothenburg Ob der Tauber. Been there a few times, such a nice place.
Every second city in Germany
Holy oversaturation, batman!
I don’t think people would care about it in Germany, because a few thousand villages and cities looks that way in Germany. In my neighborhood around 50 km, at least 25 places, looks like that.
I’d say Rothenburg ob der Tauber is visited often, by tourists, by Germans showing it to their tourist friends or just as a Saturday trip.
But don’t expect Disneyworld color grading in real life. Not sure why people have this need to overdo everything.
It’s actually Monkey Island by day in CGA
Aggressively oversaturated and „has a pretty old town“ is not exactly a reason for me and the people I know to visit a place in Germany unless we’re already close by.
It’s just… You see buildings like that pretty regularly. Not commonly in high density and dolled up to the nines but still…. It’s basically a very common thing, just more of it.
If you’re already in the area, you probably would enjoy a stroll and some sightseeing but it’s not novel enough (for me at least) to warrant an entire trip. Generally not much of a „city trip“ tourist though, especially not the really touristy cities.
As far as I know based from my Google maps knowledge you will find similar architecture throughout smaller places in Franconia. Hesse too, partially.
*its called rothenburg ob der tauber in bavaria*
Gelsenkirchen, many germans go there to watch low level soccer games
It looks like an AI generated picture…
Germans don’t really visit it, it’s mostly Chinese and Americans
