Pointless harm and destruction. It didn’t need to be this way. But we have an elderly narcissistic abuser on his way out, surrounded by the people attracted to shitty power, and here we are.

  2. ToughCurrent8487 on

If they hit desalination plants, the humanitarian crisis that ensues will be unthinkable, Trump better TACO this one

  3. CockBrother on

Future is looking great. Conflict with Iran gives the world no petrochemicals for transit, heat, power.

Potential conflict with China over Taiwan gives the world no semiconductors.

What’s the other big pillar out there? Food! Yes, well… we’re working on destroying that more slowly through climate change.

  4. CouchCorrespondent on

And Trump/Rubio/Vance/Hegseth will then blame our allies for not helping.

    Because they are cowards.

  5. Odd_Cartoonist6072 on

Once the desalination plants are hit, the Middle East will rendered uninhabitable and millions of newly created refugees will leave, xenophobia will increase wherever they go which will result in more war(s).

But hey, we ain’t talking about the Epstein files, now aren’t we?
When gas is 9$ a gallon and millions of people die of dehydration…

He doesn’t care who suffers; he is only interested in looking powerful and making things go boom. It’s costing ALL of us, whether his supporters ever admit it to themselves or not. And it was entirely avoidable. Every bit of this is unforced errors. But, to take the pressure off, he’s putting ICE in charge of the TSA starting tomorrow, too. Y’know, after DOGE spent last year gathering our personal information, now ICE will be monitoring our comings and goings while the dystopian impact of multiple military actions and the crippling of energy access to a remarkable percentage of the globe comes home to roost. IT’S FINE. THIS IS FINE.

  8. Yeah, they can easily make a few dirty bombs. Dumbass Trump needs to take the L to avoid trillions in infrastructure and priceless human damage. He won’t, though. So enjoy ten dollar gas and a hostile world United against our idiocy I guess.

  9. I thought we fully decimated Iran’s military capabilities and we won already. How can Iran strike back?

  10. >Analysts said Trump’s threat had placed “a 48-hour ticking time bomb of elevated uncertainty” over energy and financial markets, with a “black Monday” of plunging stock markets and surging energy prices looming unless it was rowed back.

At least Trump will make a bit of cash on the markets. Never mind the world going to shit

Electric car boom ongoing let’s end this once and for all not really a need to continue worrying if we just go green and not be held hostage by any of these rich cucks

  12. This is the worse mafia. Usually mafias offer real protection. Our Middle East allies have to pissed

  13. Bonesnapcall on

I want Iran to do this.

A massive economic catastrophe is the only way we are going to be able to rebuild better from the ashes.

  14. Something I’ve noticed. Iran seems to stand by their threats and announcements. Diaper don just blabs and bleets non stop and nobody takes him seriously

  15. Completely unsurprising, even *I* could see this is what Iran would do if they began to face an existential threat from the US or were otherwise threatened enough – after all they *do* likely still have a decent stockpile of long-range munitions, a relatively decentralized military command system, and the other Gulf states are right next to them.

Trump in his infinite wisdom is basically trying to play hardball with someone who is (very) disliked but also does have loaded guns pointed at everyone’s kneecaps with fingers on the triggers.

Americans don’t want this. We want affordability and healthcare. Not fucking bombs dropped on innocent people.

  17. Ok-disaster2022 on

Sounds like a reasonable response to targeting non military infrastructure.

What was the point of this war? What imminent harm was about to happen? Iran was unfriendly but stable. We had inspectors for their nuclear facilities until Trump blew it up, figuratively this time. Hezbollah had been beaten up and blown up quite a bit. Iran had internal strife and protests and internal violence against protestors. But this is not new. So why? Why now? What fucking crisis were we averting???? What is the fucking point?? WHY THE FUCK ARE WE DOING THIS?!?

It’s kinda crazy to think the lives of billions are affected by the demented whims of an orange rapist pedophile.

The only certainty in this war is that the IRGC do not have the Epstein files. Everything else is debatable.

The US is about to experience a Russia 1905 moment: get cooked in a war despite having massive advantages, a destroyed economy, and waves of social unrest. Russia in 1905 had a highly organized system of unions and socialist parties who could pounce on that. We have a very timid and ineffective opposition party that is afraid of its own shadow and a populace placated by endless dopamine hits from doom scrolling social media. Interesting times ahead comrades!

  22. Well no shit. People threaten a country with total annihilation and wonder why they’re not concerned about the long term health of the global economy after their demise.

  23. girlnamedtom on

That’s a war crime. But it’s helpful if these ghouls live long enough to seek justice. Both trumpty dumpty and kegsbreath need to be prosecuted.

  24. Careless_Jury154 on

Maybe it happens and the US finally commits to renewables (sarcastic)

  25. When a VERY thick rock (Trump) meets a hard place (Iran) Nothing good will come of this. 😳

  26. padizzledonk on

Trump is about to fuck things up far worse than anything hes done to date, every stupid fuckin moronic ass thing hes done added up together will not have the sum total negative consequences that Iran making good on this retaliation threat will have for the U.S and Global Economy and our Global Standing in the World

If they blow up the desalination plants in the Gulf there will be literally 10s of millions of people fleeing the area or dying of thirst within like a week, the world has never seen a mass migration of that level in such a short period of time, ever. I do not think it is even physically possible to move the number of people that will need to move in the amount of time they need to move

One of the greatest humanitarian catastrophes in human history i headed right for us

Trump doesn’t give a fuck, the people around him dont give a fuck, the Israelis *certainly* dont give a fuck, trump is already predisposed to thinking jyst blowing shit up is a show of „strength“, our dumbass Defense Secretary thinks the same, the Israelis jyst want chaos in the region so they are better positioned to continue their genocidal colonial expansion project and become the regional hegemon…..75%+ chance this happens

  27. This will cut of his families forms on income he won’t be that stupid or will he

  28. OFFS, Why would we be surprised at this. It’s a fucking war started by the USA and Israel. Next headline will be the shock and surprise that Americans are actually dying. The current regime is Washington is going to totally fuck everything up for everybody.

Oh, wait a minute….. not quite everybody. The politicians in Washington will be safe and sound. The ultra wealthy in their bunkers, yachts, jets estates will be unaffected. It’s just the rest of us that will be fucked.

A pox on all you fucking idiots that voted for this or didn’t vote at all.

  29. Resident-Day-7342 on

They know we don’t have an actual strategy beyond the unsustainable aerial campaign. The American voter has no appetite for a ground war and even less for $5 gas. Even the MAGAS can sense his desperation. Iran has been planning for this for decades and hold more cards than we fully appreciate.

  30. Dan-Of-The-Dead on

If America causes a global energy crisis, conflict won’t be limited to the middle east. That’s potential WW3 stuff.

It’s also infuriating that it’s like two shitty old guys, Trump and Netanyahu, who just get to decide this for the entire world.

  31. OnCallPartisan on

Iran wipes out desalination plants, the end of GCC and Saudi cities. I’m sure they’ll try to do the same to Iran but Iran is relatively geographically diverse, not just barren desert.

  32. _Debauchery on

If the US military goes through with this, then everyone involved needs to be prosecuted because this is such an obvious war crime that will result in potentially tens of millions of civilians without power in Iran. Hospitals won’t be able to function. Water treatment plants won’t be able to function. Cooking food will probably become extremely difficult. Etc.
