Submission statement:
This article is based on interviews of Lebanese health workers. Since the war began, 3 weeks ago, Israel has targeted 128 medical facilities killing 40 healthcare workers and wounding 107, mostly struck while sitting in ambulances and first aid centres. At least 5 of these strikes were „double-taps“, meaning they bomb a place once, pause waiting for the first responders to arrive, then strike again to kill those too. It’s of course a war crime under international law to deliberately target medical workers and hospitals but that never stopped Israel before.
If Hezbollah doesn’t distinguish between civilian and medical infrastructure then why should the IDF?
This doesn’t really add up.
Why would this make sense? Israel wants the support of the Lebanese people and specifically the Lebanese Army to disarm Hezbollah. In their initial campaign in Lebanon, there was a much lower civilian death ratio compared to Gaza because Hezbollah was more separated from civilian infrastructure.
It just doesn’t make sense for Israel to now start randomly targeting healthcare workers sitting in ambulances. There’s no benefit to a strike like that, and a massive risk of reputational damage and pissing off the Lebanese Army.
Why are there no videos or photos of these strikes? Also „healthcare workers say“ is remarkably vague. They have not even cited a specific source for information on any specific strike.
Like 128 strikes they are claiming!? The Al-Ahli hospital bombing made major headlines in every outlet, becoming the biggest news in months before there was even time to realize it was a failed Islamic Jihad rocket. But for these 128 strikes there’s been nothing until suddenly „healthcare workers say.“
The real double tap is Hezbollah starting a war and firing on nothing but civilians, waits a little while, then feeds the Guardian with accusations about the horrible war crimes Israel is committing. The Guardian happily prints and Hezbollah forces the war to continue by firing even more rockets on Israeli civilians.
Gaza Bis ?
Isreal about to live in a graveyard .

Israel has committed war crimes. That is common I would think. Why is anyone surprised?
oh what a surprise, a country who already has a prime minister with an international arrest warrant for crimes against humanity is targeting medical facilities.
The most moral army in the world. No, never.
