      yes it is horizontal escalation : widening the conflict when you re the weakest and force the other party to spread its assets on a wide theater . Sending missile at diego garcia is the same playbook and actually very effective

      Trump’s tactic of making crazy threats got a lot of countries to back down and compromise / make deals, but it’s not going to work against a country that’s willing to burn everything to the ground to make sure he also eats shit.

      Trump scrambling because he can’t just declare victory and TACO out of it and no one is willing to bail him out.

      If enough middle eastern desalination plants go down and are prevented from being rebuilt for just long enough, hundreds of thousands will die and even more will flood into any other country they can reach. Absolutely everyone on all sides of the equation lose here and it’s still going to happen anyway. Even Israel will be long term severely screwed over by this.

      The quagmire Donald Trump has created in Iran is usually the point where he declares bankruptcy.  And move on to another failure.  But it is difficult for him to summarily declare bankruptcy here and walk away.  So, he is flailing.

      The middle east is going to implode, all because of Trump. As it is throughout history, everything Trump touches goes bankrupt, now it includes the middle east. I wonder what the Saudis, UAE and Qatar are thinking right not because Iran will 100% bomb the desalination plants if struck.

      After this war, the entire region is going to hate the US and Israel even more. Europe is also going to be screwed with an unprecedented humanitarian crisis on their doorstep.

      I honestly think global recession or something even worse is coming cos Trump is just so stupid.

But when they call his bluff, his sick Narcissistic brain gets trapped. He will have to make good on his threat because he can’t look weak. Does not matter if it is an effective strike, he has to do it no matter the consequences. The sick Motherfucker will continue to make threats, escalate things, keep attacking until he is stopped. Trump is the absolutely worse idiot to have access to nukes.

      And let’s get something straight. Trump is fucking insane but it is the Republicans in Congress that are responsible for this whole disaster. They are allowing Trump to do what he’s doing.
