      When you’re in a war zone and you feel a punctuated tremor in the ground, drop everything and move away from the window.

      The shock wave propagates much faster through solid ground than through air. You feel that before the shock wave in the air gets to you.

      If you are ever in a war, there are many things to remember, but one of the most important is “Stay away from the fucking windows”. This is good advice in multiple different war situations and it’s almost never a bad idea to follow it religiously.
