Mein Bruder und ich fuhren durch die Gegend von Bern und sahen einen Mann am Straßenrand, der versuchte, uns um Hilfe zu bitten. Wir dachten nicht mehr, dass sein Auto eine Panne hatte. Er fing an, uns eine Geschichte darüber zu erzählen, wie er aus Belarus kommt und fast kein Benzin mehr hat und Schweizer Geld braucht, um das Benzin zu bezahlen, und Essen für seine Familie, die mit ihm im Auto sitzt. Er hatte nur Geld aus seinem Land und würde uns den gleichen Betrag als Gegenleistung geben.
Ich habe ihm 150 im Austausch für 1000 von dem, was auch immer das ist. Ich wusste, dass es nicht so viel sein würde, wie er behauptete, und schrieb es als eine gute Tat ab. Aber als ich in der Wechselstube ankam, sagte man mir, dass dieses Geld seit 2016 außer Betrieb sei und seit 2022 völlig wertlos sei. Ich hätte nicht erwartet, dass es wertlos sein würde.
Wie auch immer, seien Sie vor diesem Betrug gewarnt!! Und seien Sie nicht so leichtgläubig wie ich… Öffnen Sie auch Ihr Fenster nicht ganz für Fremde! Gelernte Lektionen.

If you get scammed by people from Belarus, then at least get scammed by pretty women from Belarus.
applying a bit of common sense helps sometimes..
They can just go to a bank and exchange if their story would be legit
The exact same scam happened to me near Geneva last week! Luckily I didn’t have my wallet, they were very convincing
They tried it with me once around a small town in Luzern. I had a bad feeling of it all, like something telling me to not accept the money. I just said I had no money with me whatsoever and left. Sorry for your shitty situation 🤷♀️
Write down the plate number, call the police when the truth is revealed

Nevermind the people telling you that you were gullible. this kind of thing really can happen to a lot of people and even to those who believe themselves to be very smart or cunning. The most important part is that both you and the people you are informing about this learn to recognize this kind of scam.

I mean. I use common sense. A guy in geneva needed money for a train ticket, 10 chf. We were like 30 minutes by foot from the train station, my common sense told me he would be at the station to ask the money if he really needed them
