If anyone’s keen, download the Aurora Watch app provided by Lancaster Uni (or keep an eye on their website: [https://aurorawatch.lancs.ac.uk/](https://aurorawatch.lancs.ac.uk/) ).
Unless it’s a red alert, don’t bother looking in most of the UK. In most of the southern half of the country, there has to be significantly high activity to be visible. Even if you can’t see it with the naked eye, always worth taking a photo looking north with a reasonably long exposure – you’ll often get the colours visible then.
Went to bed too early last night as I thought it was not going to come to anything and tonight will be too cloudy. Maybe next time.
