the EU has more to gain with the UK than it does doing dumb shit like this and locking the UK out of joint defence strategies.
Fair enough, their island was bombed because of the existence of these bases. They need to weigh that against the utility the presence of these bases afford them.
Watch them beg for those bases back as soon as Erdogan reacts to them being gone.
Makes sense the Brits got them bombed and decided that wasn’t worth joining the fight for. If I’m in Cyprus I’d def ask what’s the point of even having them atp.

My guess is Cyprus wants the „acknowledge we own them then lease them from us“ free money. Worth a shot.
