In regards to the two Greek philosophers, the map is ridiculous: Socrates didn’t „travel“ there, he was serving as hoplite in the Peloponnesian war…
Of course various other philosophers of that era traveled extensively (some were even based in Greek colonies in southern Italy, like Parmenides), including Plato, Democritos and Protagoras.

I propose that philosophers are actually a migratory species, and that the ‘fact’ of their home being France or Greece is actually false!
