Trump’s entire pre political career revolved around squandering otherwise successful business ventures. He was notorious for short changing and defrauding business partners and contractors, then using the legal system to stall and doge liabilities.
This is the same pattern. A bad venture gone sour, and an attempt to defray losses among partners.
Well, we could sell them some weapons, make a ton of money on it, lift the sanctions on Iran, and roll out the red carpet for their leader. Was this the help he was referring to?

This guy… is so tedious. I wish European politicians would get a backbone and tell him what they really think of him. These continued insults and aggressions are unacceptable. He is using bases on UK territory and the UK and others like France are helping right now to shoot down drones etc. It isn’t like we aren’t doing anything. But nothing will ever be enough for him.
He’s completely dishonest to make out like it’s easy to open the Strait, or that it’s the sole reason for the high prices. The main reason is the continuation of the stupid war which he and Israel started. The threat is that Iran will retaliate further and hit more energy production facilities in the region. That’s why prices are high. This situation will remain in effect until the US and Israel withdraw.

This is an opportunity for Europe to show Trump that they aren’t useless grifters that he thinks they are, by at least pretending to contribute to a cause that deeply impact them, instead of proving Trump right by comically saying things like „it’s not our war“ while they’ve been trying to keep the US involved with the Ukraine war.
