Dark clouds are gathering over a major redevelopment project around Nagoya Station that is being planned in anticipation of the launch of the Chuo Shinkansen maglev line. 

The project, led by major private railway operator Nagoya Railroad, or Meitetsu, calls for the construction of two high-rise buildings and the renovation of Meitetsu Nagoya Station. However, the start of construction, previously scheduled for fiscal 2027, is now „undecided.“……………………
