I’m reminded of that bit of Terry Gilliam animation in Holy Grail where the peasant rests under a tree and goes “Ahh, nice” just before he’s buried under a massive snow dump.

I would feel sad for him if he wasn’t Russian. Imagine living for several decades and that being the end of it all. He must be in a better place now though as he doesn’t have to go back to Russia anymore.

Few technical questions:

1. I assume it is summer and it is hot. What exactly is so flammable in there? Is that a sleeping bag, or perhaps they had a bottle of gasoline for cooking?

2. Wouldn’t the uniforms be flame somewhat resistant and would not burn that easily?
