OK then don’t give them the contract, go with some other company. Why do you need to black list a company refusing to agree to your terms? Just because they don’t agree to the Govt’s terms, does not make them a supply chain risk.
If refusal itself becomes a risk, then it’s not really a negotiation anymore.
Telling a company they must accept your terms as though you were the owner or be driven out of business is very much an organized crime approach.
When a government does it, this concept is otherwise known as “seizing the means of production,”!or nationalizing a company. In other words, communism.
So I guess the US is either communistic or kleptocratic now.
So the US is just saying the government can use any product, made by any company, that company has to let them do whatever they want (even if it is against the terms) and if the company doesn’t allow that, then they get punished?
Seems like the US is already at the stage where the government thinks it owns all intellectual rights and all products produced by any company. Can’t believe they’re still trying to paint countries like China as the bad guys.
This should be interesting when it gets to court. Not only do they want their suppliers to accept their contractual terms while already using their products.
It’s like the current administration has two brain cells both of which are fighting for third place.
Something tells me we now live in an authoritarian state and its going to get a hell if a lot worse once they feel cornered.
Wait til the Pentagon finds out how hard the GOP fought to establish the legal concept that companies are people and have free speech rights. .
