    1. For once I am happy they did not do random stuff on the first day. We need cut in taxes on fuel to prevent inflationary spiral due to increased cost of transport and energy.

I hope they also consider the increases in electricity prices that will happen soon.

Same as the budget? Tenner extra for dole and pension and fuck the commuting taxpayers who are worst effected?

    3. I don’t think the public or the media are grasping the depth of the crisis. Iran is lobbing ballistic missiles at oil and gas plants in the gulf today, and this seems to be spiralling. We might be looking at a severe fuel crisis in the coming weeks and months with the prospect of not just higher prices but actual shortages.

We should never have stopped prospecting for our own oil and gas. Reverse that ban today. I don’t care if it will take years to get exploration back up and running, just do it. Tell the planners to cut out the bureacratic bullshit and find a way to get all renewable energy projects to approval status within 6 months. All the solar farms, all the offshore wind, get it done. Full SEAI grants on solar panels, or whatever needs to be done to get the whole country moving on this. Encourage people to reduce fuel use.

they will do fuck all. maybe an energy credit (the catch is you pay for that too)

    5. This is just a kickback to the forecourts, its not making anything cheaper, its just diverting our tax money to the private sector and declaring it as a price cut
