No it’s not a viable alternative. Shipping oil via sea is much cheaper and can handle much larger quantities.
Oil transported via land usually goes via pipelines, not rail.

The IMEC corridor is better imo Greece Israel Saudi Arabia India are more reliable allies

This only works in a world where there is no Suez canal because the mountains in Sinai keep going further west

  4. We must be working with an alternative meaning to the word ‚viable‘ than the ones I’m aware of.

  5. Iraq has, for some reason, shut their pipeline to Türkiye. The alternative.

The Iraq segment is still active but it’s outdated. The Iraq development road project with Turkey seeks to do this but the railways part hasn’t started yet

It’s more of a cargo and transport thing tho, not oil
Iraq already has oil pipelines to Turkey which it’s exporting from but they can’t handle all of Iraq’s exports let alone the entire gulf

  7. If Iran can hit Israel with missiles, every single one of these ‚bypass‘ ideas is complete nonsense.

Also worth remembering that the Houthis haven’t even entered the war yet (but appear to be preparing to). Things are going to get wild if they restart Red Sea attacks or hit the Saudi pipeline to it.
