This article is based on a report by Human Rights Watch. It says that the El Salvador government has enforced disappearance and arbitrary detention on some of the people that have been deported there from the United States. Their lawyers and family often do not even know the whereabouts of the missing persons or allowed contact with them. The missing persons have not been brought before a judge.
