This would be a good plan… with anyone other than the Pedo in Chief. Even if he agreed to this I doubt he’d go through with it

  2. And he thinks that Trump would actually honor this deal after European ships had started clearing the straight of Hormuz? Have the past 12 months tought him nothing?

  3. Oldest_Boomer on

Who’d be crazy enough to trust someone like Trumpleshitstain with holding up his end of the bargain, unless of course it furthers his efforts towards trillionaire-ship.

  4. He’d just lie and never fulfil any promise of support for Ukraine.
The Americans can’t be trusted. They elected Trump twice. The US is a failing state.

  5. How naive. Trump could never be trusted to keep his word on something like that.

  6. Nice war you got going on over there. Shame if something happened to it.

Only deal Trump understands, blackmail and threats. Speaking his own language.

  7. I like Stubb, and his attempts to find a solution. Problem is… How do you create an agreement that the US will not renegade on the moment it is convenient to the current US regime? And, secondly, how do you convince the 70+% of the European population that are against the war that it’s a good idea to send European soldiers and sailors to kill and die in an attempt to clean up this mess created by Israel and the US?

Many panties in a twist in here.. From the title, „could“ does a lot of work in the statement.. I don’t read this as an offer to help at all, but rather a jab at the US Idiot in Chief to remind him that he already showed his ass and blew it to the rest of the world.

And that, ladies & gentlemen, is how a conflict becomes a world war.

how long it will take Europe to realised that Trump wont honor any of his promises

This seems like a public jab at Trump, or a way of deflecting the expected Trump tantrum when nobody turns up to put their ships where America isn’t willing to. It also moves the narritive of ‚NATO won’t help the US‘ away from Trump to somewhere else.

Im starting to think these leaders are fucking morons. The guy CANNOT be trusted. A promise or agreement is just the words he says to get what he wants. In his mind he has won so honoring what he agreed is bottom of the priority list. With the dementia creeping in its unlikely he will even remember any deal

Needs to be Ukraine first. Send his „big mighty military“ to overthrow Russia (1-2 day war, right?) then they will go help.

Putin and his entire government needs to either be locked up, or confirmed obliterated.

Why should we trust the Americans? They’re basically asking Europe to sacrifice ships and sailors in Iran so they don’t have to. Plus, this means getting stuck for years in an impossible to win conflict.

Ditch the U.S, and invest in Ukraine.

Don’t trust Trump. He’d back out.

America are very clearly on Russia’s side so they’ll sell Europe (and anyone else) down the river before they help Ukraine.

  16. Trump doesn’t honor contracts, treaties or promises. He is best left ignored.

  17. SpatulaWholesale on

    This is a terrible take.

Trump will want support *now* for a promise of Ukraine support in the *future*. A future he’ll renege on. Count on it.

I honestly don’t think the Europeans are naive enough to actually do this. This guy is probably just playing politics to put the onus on Trump (and Trump is actually too dumb to see the „opportunity“).

  18. …except Trump will 86 that deal as soon as it’s convenient because he’s a douchebag.

  19. Stupid idea. Supporting one illegal war, while trying to stop another.

    Trump wouldn’t help either way.

  20. Yeah, because Trump is such a reliable partner. He will absolutely not go against his word the moment he no longer needs help in Iran.

  21. I wonder if there is potential to go the other way?

Maybe we can make a deal with Iran that we _won’t_ interfere, on condition that they stop supplying Russia. I wonder as well if there is room to make a deal with China for the same (not regarding Taiwan – they are too important to us – but this war has fucked over China too).

Trump has thrown the world in to chaos, but there could be opportunities for us here to further isolate Russia.

That is what the Americans would do. That is what a world power would do. Our priority is taking down Russia and we have to take any opportunity that presents itself.

  22. Come on. This is why this all still works for Trump.

    Dumb attempts like this.

The trade agreements are working out for everyone, right?

  23. Trump is as trustworthy as Putin… it is useless trying to make agreements with him.

It needs to be transactional… Maybe say that once he has transferred weapons, money or other services to Ukraine worth 1 trillion US dollars, starting from now, then we will help negotiate an end to the Iran war for him.

If we include a promise not to prosecute him in Europe for his crimes with Epstein, he might jump at it 😀

  24. Trump lies, misleads, and parties with pedophiles. How many more times does the world need to learn this lesson? You cannot trust Trump.

  25. Street-Stick on

Don’t offer deals to a crook, a drowning man will pull you down with him..

  26. Man there is a big part of the Western world that has the Stockholm syndrome with the US it’s crazy.

  27. NocturnalSaaS on

Fuck that. Trump will betray you the second he gets what he wants. Or even if he doesn’t get what he wants. Or if he’s slighted by the media. Or he feels he was slighted by the media. Or he’ll forget the deal even exists.

  28. Please don’t support Trump with anything. He needs to be ousted worldwide. He is a persona non grata

  29. im_new_here_4209 on

Still a bad deal. First of all, Trump will cheat his way out of it, i mean he’s not exactly a man of his word,
and secondly our ships will get blown up or face risk of getting blown up. Whereas the USA in delivering artillery to Ukraine—unmanned, just the gear—doesn’t face that risk. Moreover we’re even paying for the gear so it’s half assed support to begin with.

  30. But didn’t he just lift russian sanctions to help out his old pal? Why would he ever back Ukraine against his handler?

  31. Prudent_Falafel_7265 on

He doesn’t get it. Trump NEVER honors his side of the bargain.

Aside from doing so willfully, additionally he clearly can’t remember details from day to day at this stage in any case.

DO NOT make any deals with Trump of an sort

I think the eu can have their cake and eat it by being the adults in the room here. Offer to clean this up diplomatically after Trump deescelates and brings the military back home. I think he may be desperate enough to concede in the coming weeks.

The eu can pull hard and soft power directly from America’s hands and be a global hegemon at the same time.

  33. Altruistic_Finger669 on

Trump cant be trusted at all. This slimey brown nosed excuse of a finn should know that.

    This finnish government is pathetic
