This trade route doesn’t exist. it is just a proposal at the moment.
To implement it will require a lot of political power and stability in the region which is unlikely.

The Middle East is getting complicated, maybe because it’s in the middle of the east.

Wasn’t everyone ***just*** complaining about the strait of Hormuz? That needs to end in Oman somewhere, and arguably you could just make a full land route unless you really just want to skip a few certain countries, or even just keep going through the Suez which people are doing already anyway.
Like what’s the advantage of this route??

Iran doesn’t like this.
Iran and its proxies will never make this a reality.

The intention was to cut the middle corridor of China’s Belt and Road Initiative, but it will not succeed for many reasons. Even if it were politically viable, it would not be economically sustainable or competitive with the Middle Corridor.
Another alternative project is planned between Iraq and Turkey to connect Iraq to the existing infrastructure of the Middle Corridor. The idea is to essentially make Iraq the gateway to the Indian Ocean in this constellation. The Iraqis are currently investing heavily in infrastructure projects for this alternative route.

The typical problem with any Indian projects – too much talk, very little work. The entire political class comes down even if a small bridge needs to be inaugurated. Even the PM is busy flagging off buses.

There already exists one that doesn’t go through this route.

How is this better than Suez? Adding an extra unloading and loading from ships sounds like a waste of time.
