Wait, I’ll create an evite
>Anand said despite Trump’s demands, the U.S. president has not made any attempt to trigger NATO’s collective defence provisions.
>“To our knowledge, a request has not been made to NATO,” she told reporters Tuesday morning, speaking from Turkey. “In terms of the triggering mechanisms for NATO action, at this point it’s important to remember that those conversations among NATO allies have not occurred.”
How about no? Sincerely – the rest of the world.
So truth social isn’t diplomatically recognized communication?
Trump and formalities are like oil and water.
I hope he’s wearing a suit and says thank you when he does.
Please tell me it wouldn’t make a difference if he did and NATO isn’t nuts enough to walk off that ledge…
He just assumes that everyone reads Truth Social
Is the US being invaded? No. Well, move on. NATO isn’t for bailing out Orange adventurism
Hasn’t NATO been reading his Truth posts? That *is* official!
Can’t reject you if you reject them first. 20D chess here
And even then, the answer is no.
Can NATO formally say „no“ without being formally asked?
Because Trump already knows what the answer is.
They honestly thought the demand would be enough. Jesus
NATO has to keep its resources available to defend members from aggressive threats. Like … Denmark for instance.
Because Trump knows he would be formally denied.
As a Canadian, I’m not sure why Anand would even mention that because the situation doesn’t warrant consideration for NATO involvement.
