Phrasing.
So funny, though, that the director was approached to do a PSA for a war-amps and his immediate reaction was, „let’s do Bladerunner!“ Such a strange, enduring piece of work.
I quoted this PSA at the office last week and everyone looked at me confused. I’m getting old.
I loved that spot as a kid
Children from the 80s now the cultural impact of this on schoolyards all over Canada
This thing freaked me the fuck out as a kid, I would runnout of the room.
“I am Astar, a robot. I can put my arm back on, you can’t, so play safe.”
I remember telling my brothers that this was actually Astros Boy’s dad.
THIS…. Lives rent free in my head. One of the best commercials/psa’s of all time. Out of this world, supremely effective.
I remember this coming on between The Littlest Hobo, The Edison Twins or What Will They Think of Next.
Btw: All 3 had amazing theme songs!
