Die jüdische Gemeinde in Halifax ist nach einer Welle weltweiter antisemitischer Angriffe zunehmend besorgt

Every time something like this happens:

* Person A say they feel unsafe.
* Person B says this is blowback due to some support for Zionism/Israel, highlighting they are a genocidal state, committing an ongoing genocide.
* Person A says that Person B is justifying the blowback, by highlighting it. That Person B is being Antisemitic.
* Person B says its not AntiSemitic to be AntiZionist.

Ad infinite. Seriously can we not just keep looping this over and over again? All attacks against other humans is wrong, and never justified. Especially innocents. But highlighting the fact these attacks are happening DUE to Israel’s actions is not justification.

When I highlight that church fires are likely due to the historical oppression faced by Native Americans – I am not being AntiChristian. I am not trying to excuse or justify them, but to explain why it might be happening.

Everyone needs to stop being naive, and understand how this stuff works, before shutting down conversations with name calling. Highlighting the concept of blowback and revenge, does not justify it, NOR does it entail supporting it. I do not justify or support any attacks against any people, innocent or otherwise.

As someone with Irish ancestry, the concept of blood feuds is well known, and that’s all this is at the end of the day. People kill people. The other people respond. Rinse and repeat. We need to stop the killing.
