      Trump probably expects NATO troops in Iran to act as his ground forces and eliminate the land-based threats that are firing on ships in the Strait of Hormuz. After all, he keeps saying that the U.S. military has completely defeated the Iranian Air Force and Navy, so the only force left that hasn’t been defeated is Iran’s infantry. Since this can surely only be achieved at great cost, he’d surely prefer to let the Europeans or the Chinese do this work. Then he’ll have fewer coffins of dead Americans to pay his respects to. Unless, of course, he needs some good photos again for his campaign fundraising. But it’s unlikely that the other countries will go along with this.

      Trump finding out live that NATO is a defense alliance. Not only that, but NATO Article 5 of course says that it can be called into action if the ally becomes the victim of an attack, and as we all know, Iran didn’t attack first here. And I’m sure the constant insulting and threatening to go to war with the USA’s allies over Greenland and leaving Ukraine to fend for itself despite having promised to come to its aid in exchange for giving up its nuclear arsenal, whilst leaving Europe with the bill isn’t exactly helping either…

      wtf is this headline? Insulting? The guy hung us out to dry with Russia then threatened to invade and annex the territory of a fellow European country. He’s slapped tariffs on us. Not long ago he published an official national security strategy that explicitly set out propaganda support and funding for far right groups to try to undermine our societies.

      The insults are the smallest part of the problem.

      You know the Iran scheme was not well thought out, because trump wouldn’t have spent all last year harassing Greenland and Canada and nato and zelensky if he knew he was going to be on a major war with Iran and fighting drones
