    Was mache ich?


    Ich habe nicht einmal ein Auto. Ich habe mich angemeldet, weil der Typ an der Uni so aufdringlich war und es kostenlos war, ich musste mein Bankkonto nicht angeben. Ich habe es noch nie benutzt. Was mache ich?

      It seems like you got trapped in a subscription. You can cancel the contract and I would do it sooner than later, but for now it looks like you have to pay. You can of course get a lawyer and fight it but that could be even more expensive

      Well, apparently you signed up to become a member of ADAC – which obviously isn’t free. Why did you ignore all the other letters though? Problems in Germany don’t disappear with an ‚out of sight, out of mind‘ mentality.

      Call them, explain the situation (pushy sales, supposed to be „free“, no car) and ask to terminate the membership

      The details here matter a lot about how easily you can prove that this contract was concluded without your knowledge.

      How *exactly* did the salesperson get you to take out this contract.

      First get in contact with a human being that works for the ADAC and try to explain the situation. If that doesnt work and you dont want to get a lawyer involved, the only option i see is for you to pay and then leave the ADAC.The Letter says that they already contacted you three times, to which you didnt react. You shouldve gotten into contact with them as soon as the first letter arrived. If you dont pay now, they will send a debt collector to your place, which will be even more expensive.

      Pay your outstanding Fines/payments, then Cancel it, ffs.

      You signed a Contract. Willingly!

      No Matter, If the Person was „pushy“ or Something else.
      Don’t Matter, If you have a car or Not.
      Pay them, cancel it immediately in writing (Google „Einschreiben bei der Post“), so you have a physical Copy of your Cancellation Requests and learn from it.

      In the Future, learn Form it, that you never never NEVER Sign Stuff from Random or Pushy People. Take it as a Paid-for-Lesson in Lifeâ„¢ and move on.

      Why did you completely ignore the previous payment reminders and didn’t do anything?

      The ADAC membership is only free for people up to the age of 23 during the first year; after that you have to pay: [https://www.adac.de/mitgliedschaft/mitglied-werden/adac-jung-und-mobil/](https://www.adac.de/mitgliedschaft/mitglied-werden/adac-jung-und-mobil/) That means for you… pay and cancel immediately.

      And for the future: read contracts carefully before you sign them – especially in the case of doorstep sales. The same applies to marketing campaigns in pedestrian zones or other public places. You should take a very close look at what you’re being offered. Or better yet, just keep walking. Don’t let these pushy salespeople rope you into something.

      You signed a membership, you should have read the terms and conditions. Also, you shouldn’t have ignored the prior letters. Pay and cancel the contract as soon as possoble.
