I try to accept the value of other people’s faith as an atheist and I appreciate the cultural and moral insights that religion can have on society. But once you start droning on about the end of the world, or how we need to put all the tribes of Israel into one spot to bring on the second coming, or how just one teeny tiny holy war will fix everything, my concern about religion being a force for more harm than good starts bubbling up. Trying to LARP biblical end times prophecy is as ridiculous as running around searching for Thano’s Infinity stones.
