As a pastime, I like to browse tankie and communist subs on Reddit.
It’s quite funny. They are so sure that North Korea is a paradise and that everything we hear about it is evil propaganda from evil imperialists. Then they show some fucking, god knows what, AI video of happy people living with the same quality of life in grocery stores and ban you if you ask them about the labor camps they have.

I still wonder why such incredibly authoritarian governments like North Korea or China even bother with the illusion of elections. Places like Russia make sense because they are, at least on paper, still a democracy. But no one, not even their own people, would consider China or North Korea even remotely close to democratic.
