      But since the world is a sphere shoulnt be the top and bottom smaller than the middle ?

      This is a better way to show the real size of countries than Mercator projection. For example, on many maps, South America is smaller than Russia, although as you can see, South America is 4% larger than Russia, not smaller.

      The area is incorrect for many round pieces. You should look at an equal-area projection. If you want to keep it rectangular you can use the Lambert cylindrical equal-area projection.

      This is very well done, but where is Cyprus? I don’t know if they could have even made it a dot.
