Don’t get complacent. Strive to overwhelm republicans, everywhere

  2. Even Senate Republicans might lose their majority. And it would be *significantly* harder for the Democratic Party to take the Senate than the House. The Republicans *will* lose the House.

Assuming a fair election it definitely looks like the house will easily end up in Democratic control. I would say even the Senate is now easily within reach particularly if this war keeps going and Inflation keeps rising.

I guess there isn’t a ‚don’t worry we’re gonna steal the election‘ memo circulating.

    Of course they aren’t.

If they don’t manage to ratfuck the midterms utterly, they’re well and truly fucked. Trump has broken almost every campaign promise, ramped up prices and plunged the US into another possible „forever war“.

So what are they going to be able to positively campaign on, exactly? Its like they looked at why the Dems lost in ’24 over the economy and decided they were going to speedrun making the same mistakes but a thousand times worse.

Great… but Democrats need the Senate too if they’re going to be able to really have any impact. That’s what we should be striving for…

November comes around oil will be 270 per barrel, the Persian Gulf still closed, 1000+ US service members dead with no end in sight, gas is $8 per gallon, a gallon of milk $10, and cheap flight from JFK to LAX is $3,100.

Resign and go home, all you quislings who empowered the orange king.

  9. But everyone keeps telling me they are acting like they will never lose power again? (Either way vote in the midterms! and don’t get complacent!)

  10. They’re a minority party pushing a minority agenda and they have only been able to take power by ensuring that the systems of distilling the voters’ preferences into government are tilted in favor of the minority. They should *always* be in fear of losing their majority because they never should have had that majority to begin with.

  11. Republicans can do shit like this and still have a fighting chance. Democrats can have one bad debate or do 99 things correctly out of 100 and get their asses handed to them.

  12. And this is why Trump is desperate to get the SAVE Act through and is already preemptively making it harder to get a new passport by shutting down libraries as options to do so.

They need the SAVE Act to increase their ability to put their thumbs on the scale.

  13. If people were smarter, literally noone would vote Republican. Sadly they will all go back to Republicans next election when they realize that still nothing has changed (mostly because they refuse to elect enough democrats to end the GOP)

Who did not think when trump stated at the debate „they’re eating the cats, they’re eating the dogs, they’re eating the pets“ that he was going to lose? Enough said, vote for what you know is morally right this time.

They shouldn’t even have a minority, tbh. What a horrible waste of a party.

SAVE America Act is their last hope.

They know they have to kill fairness in order to survive.

They’re going to pull some shit. These people are utterly untrustworthy. I won’t relax until this fascist bullshit is squashed completely flat, which may not happen in my lifetime.

It would go a long way to protect their majorities if they just stood up to Trump.

A significant number of independents and maybe even ‚dems‘ (lol) would reward them if they just acted like they fucking cared.

I don’t get it. Just a handful of republicans right now could end this practically overnight – and be hailed as literal heroes for saving the county and quite possibly the world – cementing fame and fortune for themselves and their families for the foreseeable future.

    …but they dont.

They act absolutely terrified of Donald John Trump.

    I. just. don’t. get. it.

  19. Consider the following, Republicans have significantly overestimated their abilities in mid-term elections since Trump.

In 2018 they expected to maybe lose a few seats, and they there was a massive blue wave.

In 2022 they expected a red wave, or a massive red tsunami and it was referred to a red trickle.

If they’re expecting to lose the house now, then they’ll be on track for an absolute shellacing.

If voting didn’t matter, Republicans wouldn’t try to stop you from doing it.
