    1. this deepfake stuff is next level wild. Like, how are we supposed to trust anything anymore? It’s gonna get messy in these midterms for sure.

There’s also a social media smear campaign claiming that purposeful voter suppression was used to beat Jasmine Crockett and calling him a MAGA plant.

And they keep posting this quote: „Our southern border should be like our front porch; there should be a giant welcome mat“

But the actual full quote is this: „Our southern border should be like our front porch; there should be a giant welcome mat out front and a lock on the front door“

They are desperately trying to get people to not vote for him in November… and based on the so-called progressive liberal accounts on social media, it might work.

We need stricter AI regulation, anyone can just steal an election by making AI deepfakes of people doing shit they didn’t do

    4. Notice how the left can make the right look bad by simply sharing REAL videos of them? And the right needs to use AI?

    5. MissionCreeper on

I see this backfiring on them-  he really did tweet these things (and I agree with them).  But some subset of more conservative voters may hear its AI and assume he didn’t say these things either.

I’ve been worried about this ever since Forest Gump was added into historical footage of JFK. Nothing good is coming.

Their is a law against this that trump signed and yet here we are, pedo in chief.

Time to tax the shit out of AI companies and hold them responsible. A million dollar fine for any deepfake made without anyone’s permission. This is such bullshit!

It’s really interesting how AI has become one of the hallmarks of American Fascism.

Using it to bomb girls, mass surveillance, political manipulation, it’s like using AI has become so ingrained in the government that it’s an integrated part of fascist culture now.

Today’s “Republicans” are mentally challenged, criminally corrupt, homosexual obsessed, vile, repugnant, immoral, and just garbage people living in a cult. Their insecurities, and immaturity is astounding. I’ve never seen such a group of “men” and “women” so weak, pathetic, and obsolete as they are. Vote them out, and breed them out of existence by teaching people how to actually act like human beings with one another, and not all this shit they “think” (they only know what their puppet masters tell them to “know”) should happen in society. People grow, learn and evolve. To hold onto “make America great again” (which means stepping back in time when oppression, hate, misogyny, racism, etc was more rampant) is pathetic.

    11. Isn’t this..explicitly election inference? Someone smarter than me pull up here

    12. It was only a matter of time before this happened. We all knew it would come and come from the repuglicans. It’s past time to regulate this AI BS, soon nothing will be viewed as truth and ‚facts‘ will not exist.

    13. Can someone make a deepfake of cornyn and Paxton kissing? And maybe trump pissing on their heads?

Good. Let the Dems release plenty of existing footage with the words, *we didn’t have to fake this“

    15. Our government missed the boat. Deepfake videos and AI related to political campaigns should have been made illegal years ago with significant punishment when it first started emerging. Now we have the president posting this type of thing.

    16. wastingtoomuchthyme on

There needs to be serious legal consequences for anyone using this deep fake shit in politics.

    17. LindeeHilltop on

Talarico should sue every station that airs this. Ka-ching. More money in his war chest. If I were a lawyer, I would do this pro bono. Ka-ching.

    18. These deep fakes are illegal in Texas. Republicans clearly don’t follow the law and are NOT the party of law and order.

    19. CatBird8675309 on

Honest question, how is this not defamation? It is an attempt to spread damaging, untrue information about a person.

    20. CodyintheCinema on

People are still pretending that AI isn’t going to become court admissible evidence if it benefits the wealthy.

    21. bickering_fool on

When the Dems get into power, they need to legislate that any video on any platform harnessing AI needs to marked as such.
