      The artificial intelligence industry rarely shows unity across competing companies. Yet that is exactly what happened on Monday when dozens of researchers from rival firms rallied behind one company’s legal battle with the U.S. government.

      Wired was the first to report the development.

      Nearly 40 employees from OpenAI and Google filed an amicus brief supporting Anthropic’s lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD).

      The filing came only hours after Anthropic launched its legal challenge.
